While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers—and brothers—Mario and Luigi are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic quest to find Luigi.

I really thought this movie was delightful. There were lots of great callbacks, even if predictable or a bit fan-servicing, which is all but to be expected with a set of classic characters with known motive. Simple story but it exceeded my expectations and was still a fun time, with bright and shiny graphics and fun music.
