"Aural Memory"
A sophisticated drama with good storytelling. It felt like a European crime drama from a darker perspective. The characters were fairly dynamic and rounded (though sometimes they didn't need to be) and the acting frequently reflected internal struggles very well. Overall this was a movie with really solid bones. However, it felt like the producer had many tough decisions between "this is good" and "does the movie need it", leading to a movie that would have potentially been better as a whole at half it's length.
"I'm a steel drummin P.I.M.P."
Interesting mystery film, I just felt it was about an hour too long. Would have been more intruiging as a quick little package, rather than the way some things were dragged out.
Also I know the director specifically said they didn't want to have a big twist ending, but I still felt myself waiting for that and a "here's what really happened" clue-style wrap-up, since they did give us re-enacted hyptotheticals.
